Background

EngIT Recruitment specialises in recruiting for the civil infrastructure and the resource industry.

 

For the last six years we’ve been placing white collar professionals in permanent and contract roles. It’s a great industry to work in but it comes with its stressors because the sector is growing rapidly – quality candidates are in short supply and demand for their expertise is on the rise! As a consequence, our business is also in growth mode.

 

The Goal

Being a small business, we have limited resources so we decided to look for a back-office solution that would help us manage our business administration. We wanted to automate, as much as possible, processing of timesheets, payslips, expense claims, payroll, invoicing, compliance, on-boarding and off-boarding for contractors and our own team.

 

The Selection Process

We went to the market looking for a back-office solution in 2020 and looked at a number of providers. At a glance there were some good ones, BUT what stood out about The Ayers Group was their genuine interest in our business and in helping us to improve our efficiencies. Their online software solution has been well thought out and they were able to clearly articulate how they could customise it to meet our specific needs. I liked that their platform is white-labelled too – from day one of implementation, the important administrative communication has been branded with the EngIT logo and in a style that reflects our brand and professionalism.

 

The Difference

The Ayers Group have had an incredible impact…. In a good way! They worked closely with us to provide an online solution that literally streamlines all our back-office processes. I love the dashboard, because I can check any time, day or night, on our costs, revenue and margin, and on where every contractor is in terms of their workflows, timesheets, expense claims and invoicing. It’s reassuring to have that bird’s eye view of the business and then to be able to drill down into the detail, all from one system. Even more reassuring is the fact that if I do have a question, I can pick up the phone and call my account manager – unlike many businesses that have resorted to chatbots, the Ayers Group has real people available to help me out with the support I need.

 

For me, this is a solution that’s really freeing me up to spend time growing the business by strengthening new and existing professional relationships.
